The Sound

The 300B power triode was first invented by Western Electric back in 1938 and has never been equaled for the unique sound it delivers. The Spirit is the pinnacle of 300B tube amplifiers.

A lot of the recordings we love are not always pleasing to the ear — a solo violin or electric guitar can be downright unpleasant at times. The Spirit smooths this edginess away without degrading the instrument or the recording in a way no digital processing can. And although 300B amplifiers are not known for raw power, the Spirit is a beast: it plays as loudly, without distortion, as a high-current solid-state amplifier 5× its rating.
