Triple-patented HDR-A multipath architecture

Up to 180 dB dynamic range; ~40 nV broadband noise

6 filters + 3 harmonic voicings, calibrated outputs

Reference headphone amp; black or silver faceplate

About this piece

Instead of one conversion path, the D-1 runs two in parallel — a low path (0–90 dB) and a high path (80–180 dB) — intelligently summed like stacking exposures in HDR photography. The result is roughly 40 nanovolts of broadband noise: about 100× quieter than today's best single-path DACs, with +22 dBu of headroom and zero intersample peaks.

It won the $25,000 grand prize in SAE Media's Create the Future contest against 635 entries from 67 countries, and was evaluated and endorsed by more than 40 Grammy-winning and platinum-certified engineers and composers during a year-long listening program.

Six selectable filters and three harmonic-distortion voicings let you tailor the sound; onboard calibration, polarity invert and a reference headphone output round out a genuinely professional tool that audiophiles love.

Made in the U.S.A.

Questions & Answers

What makes a multipath DAC different?+

The Imersiv D-1 converts on two parallel paths — a low-level and a high-level path — then sums them, much like HDR photography. This captures far more dynamic range and a dramatically lower noise floor than a conventional single-path DAC.
